Sabers scoreboard fundraising campaign

Scoreboard software and 65-inch LCD screens now in use. Check it out in the Sabers gym.

Through the collective effort of many, many people in the Sabers community, we have exceeded our scoreboard fundraising target of 120万 yen.
  • Thanks to individual donations from over 50 people, a large donation in November 2015 from the International Fair committee (SISPA and OIS PTA), and another large donation in June 2016 from the OIS PTA after the sayonara party - and the diligent effort of the KG facilities staff - the Sabers activities office has purchased 2 new 65-inch LCD screens, computer-based scoreboard software, new shot clocks, necessary cords and cables, and other related items to help revamp the score display in the Sabers gym. Everything is now operational.

Donate to the Sabers athletic program and receive a limited edition Sabers jacket with "OB" ("old boy" = graduate) or "PARENT" on the sleeve. Sleek and stylish, these comfy jackets make great gifts and are a great way to show your support for the Sabers.

Sabers basketball, volleyball, and baseball hall-of-famer Makoto Honda, 1998 graduate, sports his new Sabers jacket - the very first OB jacket. Makoto still plays basketball weekly on the Sabers court, Wednesday nights with teachers, parents, and other OBs - an original Sabers legend, one deserving of an original OB jacket.

New scoreboard for volleyball and basketball
セイバーズ・ジムでは、WJAAやAISAの大会など、バレーボールやバスケットボール、バドミントンのエキサティングな試合が数多く行われています。セイバーズ・ジムは、セイバーズの選手にとって、またセイバーズのファンにとって、とても良い環境です。
それを更に良くしようとは思いませんか？
24年間使用されてきた古いスコアボードを新しくし、またそれに加えて、もう一方の壁にもスコアボードを設置することで、このセイバーズ・ジムを更に良い環境することができます。
そのために、1つだけ必要なものがあります。それは、セイバーズを愛するあなたからの寄付金です。少しの金額でも構いませんので、ご支援・ご協力をよろしくお願い致します。
The Sabers gym is a great environment for players and fans, home to many, many exciting volleyball, basketball, and badminton competitions, including several WJAA and AISA championships. Can we make the Sabers gym even better? Yes, we can - by replacing the 24-year-old scoreboard with a new, bigger one on one end, and adding a second scoreboard on the other end. We need only one thing - a bit of money.
