High school girls volleyball coaches

Ms. Takako Hirai has taught SOIS PE since the founding of the two schools in 1991. She is the SOIS aquatics director. She has coached HS girls volleyball and softball since 1991, the longest serving coach in school and WJAA history. Coach Hirai is from Japan.

Ms. Yasuko Yamamoto has taught SIS English since 2001 and coached MS girls volleyball since 2008 (taking a 1-year break in 2016). Coach Yamamoto is from Japan

Ms. Claire Udy has taught SIS English since 2008 and coached MS girls volleyball since 2010 (taking a break from 2014-17 to direct the all-school production). Coach Udy is from New Zealand.
