WJAA JV GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

The Senri & Osaka International Schools (SOIS) Sabers host the WJAA high school junior varsity girls volleyball championship tournament, held annually late September / early October. This friendly, competitive JV event gives less experienced players an opportunity to develop their skills. Teams come from Fukuoka, Kobe, Kyoto, Nagoya, Yokohama, Hokkaido, and Osaka.

The Senri and Osaka International Schools community welcomes all teams, coaches, and fans to Osaka, Japan, for the annual WJAA JV girls volleyball tournament, September 27-28, 2019. Please refer to this page for more information to come later.

September 28-29, 2018 @SOIS in Osaka
2018: Congratulations to Coach Hirai, Coach Yoneda, Coach Uemura and the Sabers on a repeat championship.
The Sabers were dominant and undefeated during the tournament, not losing a single set. 
The Lions of the British School in Tokyo took second place, battling back on day 2 after losing both pool matches on day 1.

  • SOIS avenged a morning defeat to YIS, coming from behind to take a 2-1 victory for the championship.
