Thank you very much for making the journey to northern Osaka to play against the Sabers. We at Senri & Osaka International Schools (SOIS) are honored to host you. We host many events at SOIS and frequently house visiting student-athletes overnight in our classrooms. We are happy to do so. We hope your experience at our school is a positive and rewarding one. Best wishes to you in the upcoming competition.

  • Nearest train station: Kita-Senri (Hankyu line), 20-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride to SOIS.
  • Nearest hotel: AISA coaches stay at the Senri Hankyu Hotel, located near the bustling Senri-Chuo train station, a 10-minute taxi ride (1600 yen) to SOIS.​​

  • 8-minute taxi ride (about 1200 yen) from school. (Some students have walked.)
  • Aeon department store, Sports Depot sporting goods store, Uniqlo, Starbucks, Subway sandwich shop, First Kitchen (fast food), 109 Cinema, many other shops and restaurants. 
​Lalaport at Expo City - largest shopping center in Japan, home of highest Ferris wheel in Japan
  • 20-minute taxi ride (about 2500 yen) from school.
  • 100s of stores, shops, restaurants, attractions. Movie theater. Ferris wheel. Food court.

  • Hotel Hankyu Expo Park (10,000+ yen; 15-minute taxi ride to SOIS; next to LaLaPort Expo City)
  • Via Inn Shin Osaka (less than 10,000 yen; very near Shin-Osaka shinkansen station; 25 minutes       to SOIS; 10 minutes to Umeda city center)
  • Shin Osaka Washington Hotel (less than 10,000 yen; 490 rooms; very near Shin-Osaka station)
  • New Osaka Hotel (less than 10,000 yen; closest hotel to Shin-Osaka station; often fully booked)
  • Tokyu REI Hotel Esaka (Esaka station: 11 minutes to Umeda, 5 minutes to Shin-Osaka station,       10 minutes to Senri-Chuo station on the Midosuji subway line; 25 minutes total to SOIS)
  • APA Hotel Higobashi (Umeda, city center; 55 minutes to SOIS)
