Similar to 2017, with half of the matches going to 3 sets, this year's tournament exhibited parity and excitement. In both divisions, after pool play there were 3-way ties for 2nd place, with the final tie-break results not known until the very end of round-robin play.
Both championship matches went to 3 sets, as did the A division 3rd-4th place match.
In the A division, defending champions SOIS shook off an opening-match loss to MBIS to win its next 4 matches to capture the Sabers' 3rd title in a row.  In the B division, the Sabers went undefeated over the 2 days for their 5th consecutive championship.

Summary 2017
With over half of the matches going to 3 sets, this year's tournament exhibited parity and excitement. No A division team went undefeated, and every B division team won at least 1 match. In the A division finals, SOIS and CA faced off for the 2nd year in a row, with the Sabers coming out on top again. In the B division, the Sabers B team went undefeated over the 2 days for their 4th consecutive championship.

One key element of the tournament's excitement was that almost every Saturday morning round-robin match was significant in determining who advanced to the final
2 afternoon knock-out matches.
