By now you may have read the email from the school that we won't be participating in outside events due to Covid-19.  This will start next week so our games are on tomorrow, February 22 in our gym.  However, that means we won't be going to the tournament next weekend.  Here is the schedule for tomorrow:

A 14:30, B 15:45

A team will be the players that were working with Mr. Mecklem in practice on Thursday.  Everyone else will get a chance to play in the B games.  You can come to the gym at 10:30.

Last Saturday was our worst of the season, we lost all three games to CA and we lost Anju to injury.  

The A team lost 14 to 9.  We were missing a few starters even before the injury and we really struggled to score in the second half.  We will need to work on our half court game and shooting.  

The first B game we lost 20 to 16 and in the second we lost 22 to 12.  In both games we had our moments but again, we struggled to score.  

We only have one practice this week and there is a lot we need to do so come ready to work!

This Saturday while the boys soccer team is hosting a futsal tournament, we'll have two schools visiting our gym.  Here is the schedule:
·        09:00 gym open for warmup
·        09:30 SOIS A v KIUA A
·        10:45 SOIS B v NIS B
·        12:00 KIUA A v NIS A
·        13:15 SOIS B v NIS B
·        14:30 SOIS A v NIS A

I haven't heard anything about Nagoya but KIUA is usually tough.  The CA coach said they play a packed zone defense so we will need to work on our outside shooting. 

​We will need to know at practice tomorrow who is available to play and whether you can come to both games for your team or just one.  

We have three games this Saturday against Canadian Academy.  

The A game will start at 9:00 which is earlier than last week.  

The following players should arrive by 8:30 to be prepared for the A game.

Mia, Karina, Ayu, Anju, Yuki, Yuuka, Hanae, Maya, Wakana, Suika

All other players who want to play should arrive by 9:30 but you can come early to cheer during the first game.  

Players who should be prepared for the second game include: Clara, Nene, Kanon, & Kanon

Anyone else who comes will play in either the second or third game.  If you come, you'll play.  We can't stay after the games and play more as the gym will be used in the afternoon and we need to be out by 1:00.

We have three games scheduled for tomorrow at SOIS :

A Game 9:30 am vs. OYIS
B Game 15 minutes after the A game vs OYIS
Dev. Game 10:00 minutes after the B game SOIS vs. SOIS

We didn't fully announce the players and we will try to play as many as possible.

The following players will definitely play on the A team and should arrive by 9:00
Mia, Hime, Karina, Ayu, Anju, Yuki, Yuuka

These players could get time on A team if they arrive by 9:00  but may also get time in the B game
Maya, Suika, Fred, Hanae, Hina, Wakana

The following players will definitely play in the B game and should be in the gym by 10:00
Clara, Nene, Kanon, Kanon, Kate

Anyone else who gets there by 10:00 will also be considered for the B team.  If you don't want to be on B team but still want to play, get there by 11:00.  It is our goal to get everyone who comes into a game.
