Well done to both A and B teams for a superb effort over two days. The B team were outstanding, undefeated in four games and only losing the 3rd/4th place game by a single goal to the Nagoya A team. A special mention is needed for the B team goalkeeper, Natsuki Goto, who volunteered to play in goal on Tuesday, and by Friday was making one spectacular save after another.
Over two days the Sabers scored 21 goals, 5 more than all the other teams combined, which is a credit to their instinct for open, attacking soccer.
The A team played with all the commitment, spirit and skill we have come to expect from our Sabers teams, only losing the final in the last minute to an unlucky free kick. Everyone was a credit to the school and their team. Well done to the CA Falcons, and we look forward to a rematch in the WJAA tournament in December!
