Sabers win middle school girls soccer tournament

Sabers Invitational, MS girls soccer, November 7-8, 2014 
With an exciting, fast, attacking style of play that produced 23 goals - 16 by Golden Boot winner 8th grader Yulia Ikumi -  in 5 matches, the SOIS middle school girls soccer team captured the 2014 Sabers MS Girls Soccer Tournament championship. The Sabers beat the Canadian Academy Falcons 4-2 in an entertaining final. Congratulations to Coach Frater and Coach Namba and all of the Sabers.

Sabers open MS girls soccer tourney with 3 wins

Sabers Invitational, MS girls soccer, November 7-8, 2014 
The Sabers middle school girls soccer teams opened the first day of the Sabers Invitational with 3 wins and 1 loss. The Sabers A team won both of its pool games handily, while the Sabers B team won 1 and lost 1. Pool play continues Saturday morning followed by championship matches in the afternoon. Visiting teams are Canadian Academy (CA; Kobe), International School of the Sacred Heart (ISSH; Tokyo), and Nagoya International School (NIS).

AISA choir festival concert

Seven SOIS students are currently in Seoul, South Korea, at Korea International School (KIS), participating in the AISA choir festival, a collaborative musical event that features male and female singers from the four AISA schools: KIS, Seoul International School (SIS), Yokohama International School (YIS), and SOIS.

After a day and a half of rehearsals on Friday and Saturday, the combined choir will present a special concert. The concert will be from 17:30 – 18:00 on Saturday, November 8.
