Under normal circumstances, the SOIS community - students, parents, faculty, staff - are invited each year to the Sabers awards celebration, held in the theater and cafeteria, with over 100 people attending this fun event. Circumstances are not quite normal yet, but on June 2, 2022, for the first time in three years the Sabers athletic department held an in-person Sabers Awards Celebration, this time outdoors in the courtyard. The attendance was lighter than usual, but the atmosphere was festive and the Sabers community came together to celebrate a successful year of sport as we slowly move back to some semblance of normalcy.
The purposes of the event were to celebrate our Sabers sporting year, to say farewell to a few Sabers coaches,
and to present our two traditional two-schools athletic awards.

Special thanks and farewell to departing coaches:
- Mr. Derek Entwistle (19 years at SOIS)
- Ms. Leanne Entwistle (22 years at SOIS)
- Mr. Michael Warford (2 years at SOIS)
